  • Educators/Students
Since 2004, Our educators have reached 342 educators and 48,021 students.
  • Volunteers
Since 2004, students, educators, and members have contributed 59,462 volunteer hours for a value to our community of $1,094,100.
  • Trees
Over the past ten years, our volunteers have planted nearly 100,000 native trees and harvested approximately 4,000 pounds of cypress seeds used for germination and replanting of native trees.  A locally grown (native) cypress tree 12" in diameter would generate $210 in benefits/year.  When it reached 17" in diameter benefits would be valued at $250/year, or a 50 year value of $10,500.  We plant approximately 700 trees /acre and have planted about 135 acres with a total carbon removal value of $1460/acre of $197,100 to date.
